As a shop owner, there is so much that demands your attention, and having the correct water filtration for your equipment should not be one of them!

The industry has evolved drastically over the last few years, and a lot more business owners and technicians are aware that water for your equipment is crucial to your business existence. Poor quality water = damaged equipment, downtime, and unnecessary costs!

We see it too often that shop owners are still being misled that having filtration is good enough. This is false, you are flushing money down the drain and could cause more problems for yourself.

Here’s an example of a coffee shop

The coffee shop has soft water and uses a softener: Results = Corrosion!

Here are some professional pointers for coffee shop owners:

Ask your technician / servicing agent these questions:

  1. Have they done a water test? Do they know what your water quality content is? If NO, then request a test from us, for free.
  2. Scale inhibition = Does the installed filter have a built-in scale inhibitor? This is super important because this will protect your espresso machine and similar equipment against scale AND corrosion!
  3. Please read your filter carefully as they will say clearly on the cartridge what the application is for. “COLD WATER USE ONLY” – this indicates that it’s not suitable for hot beverages like coffee and could damage your equipment, it could also result in poor-tasting coffee.
  4. Do you have ongoing problems even after filtration has been installed? A clear sign that the incorrect filtration is applied.
  5. Management of filtration replacements – your water is only as good as your filter, make sure you have a decent replacement cycle of either 6 months or 12 months.

We can assist with all of the above and more!
